During the War of 1996, one of the thrity-six City Destroyers landed on Earth and attempted to drill its molten core. Following the destruction of the Colony mothership and the July 4 counterattack, this ship was the only Harvester vessel to survive the invasion but was desactivated, stopping the drilling. However, the aliens of the vessel kept fighting against Umbutu's military forces for a decade until being defeated.
The destroyer remained dormant until being suddenly reactivated in 2016, forcing Umbutu's leader Dikembe Umbutu to request the aid of ESD Director David Levinson to investigate the vessel. It was then learned that the Destroyer had sent a distress call to the Harvesters' homeworld, sending the Harvester Queen with her mothership to Earth.
