Glenn Parness was the White House Chief of Staff who served under President Thomas Whitmore.

Biography

Parness was summoned to a meeting in the Oval Office by Thomas Whitmore concerning on the discovery of the alien mothership orbiting the Moon. He argued with Albert Nimziki in against his proposal to authorize America's alert status to DEFCON Three by informing him that only 50% of the armed forces are on weekend leave to celebrate the Fourth of July and thereby making it difficult to recall their personnel.

After the City Destroyers made their arrival to Earth, Parness was among Whitmore's staff that were evacuated to NORAD. The day after the aliens began their attack, Parness was ultimately killed when the aliens destroyed NORAD.
