Jessica Morgan is a doctor who was on President Thomas Whitmore's Advisory Council on Science and Technology during the War of 1996.
Biography[]
During the War of 1996, Dr. Morgan was sent with military liaison Captain Joshua T. Adams to locate an alien ship that had crashed into the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean after the July 4th counterattack.
The two were sent to the nearest U.S. Navy submarine to locate the alien ship. Upon finding the vessel in which Captain Adams and a team boarded it, Morgan requested them in bringing an apparently deceased alien brought back to the submarine to be studied.
While conducting an autopsy on the alien, Morgan was pulled away from her work when notified that the aliens from the ship are using a drilling machine to burrow into the ocean floor. Morgan realized that the aliens are rupturing the Mid-Atlantic Ridge to create artificial tsunamis that would devastate the North American and African coasts. The aliens' plot was foiled in which Adams led Captain Meredith's Marines in destroying the aliens' drilling machine.
After the threat was apparently thwarted, Morgan resumed her examination of the alien in which she acknowledges the immensity humanity would learn from the aliens' technology. When Adams later warned that the alien threat was not over, as the aliens planned to detonate their ship over the fault line, due to having a psychic communication with an alien, Morgan supported Adams' warnings as she recalled what David Levinson had told her about President Whitmore's encounter with a captured alien.
After returning to the alien ship, Morgan monitored Adams and a Marine's progress in the ship before the submarine came under attack by the aliens. During the attack, the supposedly dead alien kept on board came to life and attacked Morgan and the submarine's crew. Morgan managed to kill the alien with a captured energy rifle. The alien ship was destroyed by Adams after he briefly flew it to the surface before Morgan and Captain Meredith rescued Adams.
