Las Vegas was the most populous city in the U.S. state of Nevada, and an internationally renowned major resort city.
Las Vegas was initially targeted for destruction by a City Destroyer during the War of 1996. Although the City Destroyer was brought down during the July 4th counteroffensive, its massive bulk crashed into and demolished Las Vegas. As of 2000, Las Vegas was never rebuilt and remained as a permanent memorial to serve as a reminder to humanity of the aliens' ruthless attack.
Despite of its destruction, Las Vegas still remains as a tourist destination as visitors travel to see the ruins of the crashed Destroyer.
