Lei Lao was a PLAAF fighter pilot who fought in the War of 1996.
Biography[]
During the War of 1996, Lei Lao lost his wife in the destruction of Beijing and was left with his infant daughter Rain. As most of China's modern fighter jets were destroyed from the initial attacks against the aliens, Lei piloted an outdated Shenyang J-8, which he named it Meifeng—"Beautiful Wind"—after his wife.
Lei participated in the July 4th counteroffensive against a City Destroyer over Wuhan, where he ultimately died in the battle.
