The Royal Saudi Air Force is the aviation branch of the Saudi Arabian Armed Forces. The RSAF has developed from a largely defensive military force into one with an advanced offensive capability, and maintains the third largest fleet of F-15s after the U.S. and Japanese air forces.

During the War of 1996 the RSAF was forced to scatter in isolated pockets in the Empty Quarter before regrouping for a counterattack in defending Mecca from a City Destroyer. Prior to The Fourth the RSAF was ready to sacrifice their airmen to defend the holy city at all cost despite knowing that their attacks on the aliens' energy shields were futile. After the Americans disabled the aliens’ shields, the RSAF and along with other international fighters were successful in bringing down the City Destroyer and saving Mecca.[1]
