The Sphere's ship was a spaceship piloted by the Sphere. Its design somewhat resembled to the Sphere itself.
History[]
The ship journeyed to Earth to warn humanity of the Harvesters' imminent return and attempt to evacuate most of humanity from the planet.
The ship appeared over the Moon and attempted to contact humanity. However, the humans mistakenly deemed the ship as a threat, and the ESD destroyed it with their moon base's main weapon system. The ship crashed in the Van de Graaff crater, where it was eventually searched through by ESD Director David Levinson and Jake Morrison. The two found an intact container containing the Sphere before taking it to Area 51 when the Harvesters finally arrive.

Behind the scenes[]
- In The Art and Making of Independence Day: Resurgence, Johannes Mücke described designing the ship: "the biggest nut to crack. The sphere with the horizontal slot. And the AI as well, it's this sphere with the circle. First off, you start to over-think it because it's too simple. I think that's what it is. This is how Roland works, he's really - this is what his success is, too - he distills all the nonsense away to come to the core and present the core undisguised to the audience for them to get the picture."
