The United Nations (UN) is an international organization whose aims are to facilitate cooperation in maintaining world peace, promoting human rights, fostering social and economic development. The UN was founded on 24 October 1945 after World War II.
History[]
War of 1996[]
The UN General Assembly met in emergency session to debate the aliens' arrival during the War of 1996. When the Secretary General proposed a one world government, many of the delegates accused him of being in league with the visitors. The entire assembly then promptly stormed out, effectively suspending the UN. The UN Headquarters was destroyed when the City Destroyer opened fire on New York City.[1]
Post War of 1996[]
Following the July 4th victory, the United Nations deployed peacekeeping forces in mopping up surviving alien forces, such as in Russia and the African Congo.[2]
Within two years after the invasion, the UN became even more influential after global peace was achieved as a result of humanity’s unity against the alien invaders. On May 25, 1998, the UN created the Earth Space Defense program to combat and defend humanity from future extraterrestrial threats.
